As the first woman, Chloe Kim of the United States has made Olympic history at the 2022 Beijing Olympics in the snowboard halfpipe to win two golds. To win an Olympic snowboarding gold medal, this comes after she became the youngest woman in 2018 when she placed first in the snowboard halfpipe women’s, at just 17 years old.
Kim is now 21 years old and told NBC Sports after her flawless first run, she had a bad; experience but still dazzled the judges won her 94 points. Ahead of other competitors significantly, this put her, and from Spain, four points ahead of silver medalist Queralt Castellet.
At the end of the first run, Korean Americans of the second generation tearfully expressed their shock and excitement and then continued to challenge themselves in the second and third runs, attempting to execute perplex trick called 1260. In the air, this stunt consists of three, and before landing, a half spins.
Kim finished with grace as despite not landing 1260, she embraced the other competitors.
