Short-Track Speed Skating contest of Women’s title 1500m & Men’s 5000m Relay

Speed skating pursues short track with the men’s 5000m and the women’s 1500m title.

On Wednesday, the 5000m relay of men and the 1500m of women individuals in speed skating will both take place in Beijing.

In Final B, The relay features of men; eight teams competing, with Japan, the Netherlands, and Hungary set to compete, and in Final A, Canada, Italy, China, South Korea, and the ROC.

 In this event, as for the women’s 1500 contest title, Choi Min-Jeong of South Korea is the defending gold medalist. So far, she had a silver medal in the 1000m title at these Olympics.

In the 500m this year, defending bronze medalist Kim Boutin of Canada finished third.

Into this event, But Suzanne Schulting of the Netherlands is the clear favorite going. At every distance, she’s the current World Short Track Speed Skating champion and already has two golds this year, winning the 1000m title and the 3000m title relay. In the 500m, she also earned silver behind Italy’s Arianna Fontana.
