We all know that skincare is important, but how many of us actually have a routine that makes our skin look its best? The truth is, it’s hard to develop the perfect skincare routine when there are so many products out there and so many opinions on what you should be doing. Luckily for you, we’ve done the legwork and interviewed some experts to curate a simple guide that will give your skin a break from heavy makeup and everything else under the sink. Let me help you get your face into tip-top shape with these 10 tips. Also read this interesting blog: Most Beautiful Women in the World
Skincare Tip 1: Always Remove Your Makeup Before Bed
One of the most important skincare tips is to remove your makeup before bed. This can make a huge difference in how your skin looks and feels. It’s tempting to leave it on until morning, thinking that you’ll have more time in the morning and that no one will see your face anyway. But this is a bad habit that will make your skin worse over time.
There are many ways to remove makeup, but I’ve found that using cotton pads with gentle cleanser works best for me (I like CeraVe). This method doesn’t require any rubbing or scrubbing—just wipe gently from one side of the face to another in an upward motion. It’s also important not to use harsh products on your eyes; instead of using eye makeup remover wipes (which contain harsh chemicals), try applying warm water with a clean cloth until the mascara dissolves itself!
Skincare Tip 2: Use Cleansing Oils
Cleansing oils are a bit of a misnomer. It’s not that they aren’t good for removing makeup, but more that they do more than just cleanse your face. These products are made from natural ingredients like jojoba and argan oil, so they’re better for your skin than traditional cleansing products like soap or facewash. They also work really well at dissolving sebum (the natural oil on our faces), which prevents clogged pores and breakouts.
Skincare Tip 3: Protect Your Skin With Sunscreen
Sunscreen is your best friend and it should be used every day, even in winter. Don’t forget to wear lip balm with SPF, too!
There are many types of sunscreen on the market, but there are two main categories: chemical and physical sunscreens. Chemical sunscreens contain chemicals that absorb UV radiation from the sun and convert it into heat, which then dissipate from your skin. Physical sunscreens work by reflecting away UV rays before they can damage skin cells.
Both types of sunscreen should have an SPF (Sun Protection Factor) rating between 15-50+. The higher the number, the better protection you will get against harmful UVA and UVB rays. Be sure to apply enough at each application especially if you’re going swimming or sweating a lot during exercise as this will decrease effectiveness over time!
Skincare Tip 4: Drink More Water
Water is the best thing for your skin.
Drink at least eight glasses of water every day, or about half your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink about 75 ounces of water each day (that’s about 1 liter).
If it’s hot outside and you’re sweating a lot, make sure to drink more than normal—upwards of 2 liters per day.
You can purchase a reusable water bottle that will remind you to keep drinking throughout the day by signaling an alarm when it reaches its capacity. Keep one on hand at work and another by your bedside so that no matter where you are in the morning when your alarm goes off, there’s no excuse not to fill up before heading out!
Skincare Tip 5: Scrub Your Pores Clean
- How to use a facial scrub:
- Apply the product on damp skin, massaging it into the pores. Let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing off. You can use it daily or even twice daily as your skin requires.
- The benefits of using a facial scrub:
- Your pores are cleaned and unclogged so they will be less prone to breakouts and clogged pores, which are caused by dead skin cells that accumulate inside them. A good cleanser will also remove excess oil on your face, leaving you with a clean canvas for makeup application later on in the day!
- The best facial scrubs to use:
There are many different types of exfoliating products available at drugstores (CVS, Walgreens) and beauty supply stores (Ulta). Some popular brands include St Ives Apricot Scrub and Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub . However there are many other options out there that work just as well! Just make sure whatever you choose has some type of microbeads because those help lift away dead skin cells better than anything else would work alone – especially when combined with some type of moisturizer afterwards.
